If you like the convenience and ease of searching Google and Google Scholar, but are concerned about the quality and availability of results retrieved, Himmelfarb Library may have a solution. Himmelfarb Information Portal is a new search tool that will replace the multidatabase search on the Library’s homepage starting the week of July 1st. You can use HIP to enter keyword searches and retrieve health sciences-focused content that is in Himmelfarb’s collections. This includes full-text access to most of Himmelfarb’s electronic resources, and records from the Library Catalog to locate print and multi-media resources.
HIP will be available as a pilot project throughout the upcoming academic year and we will be evaluating and fine-tuning it as the year progresses. Visit the Himmelfarb Information Portal FAQ for more information about HIP and use the feedback form to share your comments or get answers to questions.
